Japanese: 紅夷外科宗伝 - こういげかそうでん

This is a Western surgical textbook (unpublished) compiled by Narabayashi Chinzan (Eikyu). It is based on the Dutch translation of the Complete Surgical Book by A. Paré, France, and adopts the structure of Chinese surgical books, and also incorporates other Dutch books and oral instruction from Hoffmann, a doctor at the Dutch inn in Dejima, Nagasaki. It includes a preface by Kaibara Ekiken (1706, Hoei 3), and consists of a Book on Preparations, a Book on Gold Sores, a Diagram of Gold Sores, a Book on Oils, and a Book on Salves. It has been used as a teaching material at the Narabayashi School for generations. The Book on Gold Sores and the Diagram of Gold Sores in this work are almost identical in content to Nishi Gentetsu's Book on Treatment of Gold Sores (1735 draft) and Irako Mitsuaki's Illustrations of Surgical Instruction (1769), which suggests that Dutch teaching was involved in their creation.

楢林鎮山（ならばやしちんざん）(栄休)が編纂（へんさん）した洋方外科書(未刊)。フランスのA.パレの外科全書の蘭訳本をもとに中国系外科書の構成を採り入れ，また他の蘭書あるいは長崎出島蘭館医ホフマンの口授を加味している。貝原益軒の序(1706∥宝永3)があり，仕掛書，金瘡（きんそう）書，金瘡跌撲（てつぼく）図，油之書，膏薬書から成る。楢林塾で代々教材に使われた。本書の金瘡書，金瘡跌撲図と内容がほとんど一致するものに，西玄哲の《金瘡跌撲療治之書》(1735稿)と伊良子光顕の《外科訓蒙図彙（きんもうずい）》(1769)があり，その成立にオランダ人口授が関与していることを推定させる。
