Unshu Collection Book

Japanese: 雲州蔵帳 - うんしゅうくらちょう

This is a catalogue of tools collected by Matsudaira Fumai (Matsudaira Harusato), lord of Matsue Domain in Izumo Province (Shimane Prefecture). There are many similar books in circulation, called the Unshu Specialty Book and the Unshu Tool Purchase Book, which are inconsistent and have slightly different contents, so there is no one that can be used as a base text. However, the original form of this book is thought to have been completed in 1811 (Bunka 8), during Fumai's later years. What the various variants have in common is that the whole is made up of seven parts, which is why it is called the "Seven Volumes of Specialty Records."

出雲国(島根県)松江藩主松平不昧（ふまい）(松平治郷)が収集した道具の目録帳。《雲州名物帳》《雲州道具買入帳》と称して一定せず，内容もまた若干異にする類本が世上に多く流布しており，底本とすべきものはない。しかし本書の原初的な形態は，不昧晩年の1811年(文化8)には成立していたものと考えられる。各種異本に共通しているのは，全体を7部構成にしている点で，〈七冊名物記〉という称がおこるゆえんもここにある。
