Two volumes. Written by Zeami. Date of completion unknown. Classifies the taste of Noh into five sounds, namely, congratulatory songs, mysterious songs, love songs, lamentations, and rakugo songs , explains the taste of each song, and gives examples of representative songs. [1] 〘名〙＝ごいん（五音）(三)①※二人女房（1891‐92）〈尾崎紅葉〉中「『御母様。午飯(おひる)は？』『未(まだ)さ』と五音(オン)の調子は頗る不平を帯びてゐる」[2] 室町中期の能伝書。二巻。世阿彌著。成立年未詳。能の曲趣を五音、すなわち祝言・幽曲・恋慕・哀傷・闌曲(らんきょく)の五音曲に分類し、各曲味を説明しその代表曲を例示したもの。下巻後半に五音説とは別の曲舞謡(くせまいうたい)に関する記事・例曲を付す。
