Koide Ichijuro - Koide Ichijuro
A Nagauta singer. There are three generations (some say four), but the first is the most famous. (1) The First (?-1800 (Kansei 12)) A disciple of the first Yoshizumi Kosaburo. Originally named Yoshizumi Ichijuro. He began performing at the Morita Theater around 1747 (Enkyo 4). He later changed his name to Okada Ichijuro, and then studied under the first Fujita Kichiji, changing his name to Fujita Ichijuro. In 1768 (Meiwa 5), ​​he took the name Kode Ichijuro. This was a typical style of singing from the Meiwa to Kansei periods (1764-1801), and he was particularly skilled at meri-yasu mono (fine songs). In 1778 (An'ei 7), he took the name Kode Kaneshiro II, but soon reverted to Ichijuro.

長唄唄方。3世(一説には4世)を数えるが,初世が著名。(1)初世(?‐1800(寛政12)) 初世吉住小三郎の門弟。初名吉住市十郎。1747年(延享4)ころから森田座に出勤。のち岡田市十郎と改め,さらに初世富士田吉次に師事して,富士田市十郎と改め,68年(明和5)より湖出市十郎を名のる。明和から寛政期(1764‐1801)の代表的な唄方で,とくにめりやす物を得意とした。1778年(安永7)2世湖出金四郎を名のったが,まもなく市十郎にもどる。
