〘 noun 〙 When remodeling or repairing a shrine, the deity is temporarily moved from the main hall to a temporary hall. Temporary shrine transfer. ※Kogoki - July 4, 1028 (first year of the Chogen era) "The temporary shrine transfer of the Otokoyama Hachiman Shrine is an example of the temporary shrine being transferred for a certain period of time."
