Austric language family

Japanese: アウストリック語族 - あうすとりっくごぞく

...a language family that includes the languages distributed in mainland Southeast Asia and India. It means "South Asian languages" and in Japan it was also called Nan'ya-gakkai. There are about 150 languages known to date, and the total number of users is estimated to be about 40 million, but this is not certain. According to the classification by G. Diffloth, the main languages are as follows: (1) Munda (India) (a) Northern Munda (Santali, Mundari, etc.) (b) Southern Munda (Kharia, Sora, etc.) (c) Western Munda (Nahali, Nahali) (2) Nicobarese (3) Mon-Khmer (a) Khasi (Assam) (Standard Khasi, etc.) (b) Palaung (Burma) (Palaung, Wa, Danaw, Lawa, etc.) (c) Monic (Burma, Thailand) (Mon, etc.) (d) Khmuic (Thailand, Laos) (Khmu, Lamet, etc.) (e) Viet-Muong (Vietnam) Vietnamese (has southern and northern dialects), Muong (properly Mu'o'ng), etc. (f) Katuic (Vietnam): Katu, Bru, Kuy, Pacoh, etc. (g) Bahnaric (Vietnam, Cambodia): Stien, Chrau, Sre, Mnong, Loven, Brao, Bahnar, Sedang, etc. (h) Pearic (Cambodia): Pear, Chong, Samre, etc. (i) Khmer (Cambodia, Vietnam, Thailand..)

From the Austronesian family

...In 1889, the Dutchman H. Kern suggested that the homeland of the Austronesian languages was probably the northeastern coast of the Indochina Peninsula, and this theory is supported by many scholars. However, based on the current distribution of Austronesian languages, the American I. Dyen suggested that they may have originated in New Guinea (1956, 65).
[Relationships with other language families]
W. Schmidt of Austria proposed that the Austronesian and Austroasiatic languages were related to each other, and combined them to form the Austric language family, but this has not been scientifically proven. In recent years, P.K. Benedict of the United States has proposed the Austronesian language family, claiming that the Austronesian language family is related to the Thai languages through the non-Chinese languages of Cochinchina and Hainan Island (called Kadai languages), and has created the Austro-Tai language family, but this is still not an established theory.

【アウストロネシア語族】より

…　アウストロネシア語族の故地は，1889年オランダのケルンH.Kernによってインドシナ半島北東部沿岸であったろうと推定され，多くの学者によって支持されているが，アメリカのダイエンI.Dyenは，アウストロネシア諸語の現在における分布状態から推測し，ニューギニアが故地であった可能性を示唆している(1956,65)。
［他語族との関係］
　オーストリアのW.シュミットは，アウストロネシア語族とアウストロアジア語族が親縁関係にあったとし，両者を合わせてアウストリック語族なる名称を与えたが，科学的に証明されたわけではない。近年アメリカのベネディクトP.K.Benedictは，アウストロネシア語族がコーチシナや海南島の非漢語系の言語(カダイ諸語と呼ばれる)を介してタイ諸語と親縁関係があるとし，アウストロ･タイ語族を提唱しているが，いまだ定説とはなっていない。…
