Hans Kudlich

A revolutionary from Silesia (now Silesia, Poland), he made a historic contribution to the emancipation of the Austrian peasants. After studying philosophy and law at the University of Vienna, he participated in the Vienna Revolution of 1848. He was injured during the March Revolution, and was elected to the Constituent Assembly on his return home, where he won the abolition of feudal servitude for the peasants in the September assembly of the same year. After the defeat of the revolution, he fled via Germany and Switzerland to America, where he gained renown as a doctor. In America, he opposed slavery. [Conscience, Power]

シュレジエン(現，ポーランド領シロンスク)出身の革命家で，オーストリアの農民解放に歴史的功績をのこした。ウィーン大学で哲学と法律学を学んだ後，1848年のウィーン革命に参加した。三月革命中に負傷し，帰郷中に憲法制定議会に選出され，同年9月議会で農民の封建的隷属の廃止をかちとった。革命の敗北後ドイツ，スイスを経てアメリカに亡命し，その地で医師として声望を得た。アメリカでは奴隷制に反対した。【良知力】
