Kinreizuka - Kinreizuka

Japanese:
Kinreizuka - Kinreizuka

A wooden coffin tomb made of piled stone from Silla during the Three Kingdoms period, located in Gyeongju, South Korea. It is estimated to be a circular tomb with a base diameter of about 18 meters and a height of about 5 meters, and the wooden coffin and wooden burial chamber have decayed and disappeared. A gold crown, earrings, bracelets, rings, a belt, and a waist strap were excavated from inside the coffin, all still wearing the garments. The tomb was named after a small gold bell that was excavated from the right side of the waist strap. The small ornaments and narrow spacing between them make it believed to be the tomb of a Silla prince. A large number of grave goods were excavated from inside the coffin, arranged in three tiers: containers on the lower tier, horse equipment and lacquerware on the middle tier, and weapons and ornaments on the upper tier. Among them, the small imitation mirror, the horse-riding figure pottery and the boat-shaped pottery are rare items not found in other Silla tombs. They are thought to date to around the middle of the 6th century.
