Fatigue can be divided into acute and chronic fatigue depending on how it manifests (Figure). There are two types of acute fatigue: acute fatigue in the narrow sense, which occurs over a short period of time, from a few minutes to a few tens of minutes, and subacute fatigue, which occurs over a period of several hours. Both types can be cured with a relatively short period of rest.
