Year of birth: Year of birth and death unknown. Military commander during the late Kamakura and Nanboku-cho periods. Son of Mitsuuji. Called Yataro. Kazusa no Suke. Since his grandfather Nagauji, he lived in Saijo, Kira-sho, Hazu-gun, Mikawa Province (Aichi Prefecture). In 1333 (Shokei 2/Ganko 3), he led an army to Kyoto together with Ashikaga Takauji. He fought a fierce battle in Kyoto and destroyed the Rokuhara Tandai. According to the Nan-Taiheiki, prior to this, in Mikawa Province, Takauji had conveyed his intention to overthrow the shogunate to Sadayoshi, who agreed, saying, "It is too late now," and so he decided to attack Rokuhara.
