The second Khan of the Ilkhanate. Reigned from 1265 to 1282. Eldest son of the first Khan, Hulagu Khan. After ascending to the throne, he repelled successive invasions by enemy armies and managed to put domestic affairs in order, but after his death, the Ilkhanate fell into turmoil as frequent disputes over the succession to the throne broke out. In order to counter the Mamluks and their allies the Kipchak Khanate, he planned a military alliance with the Pope and the kings of England and France and sent envoys, a strategy that was continued by subsequent Ilkhans. イル･ハーン国第2代のハーン。在位1265‐82年。初代フレグ･ハーンの長子。即位後あいついだ敵国軍の侵入を撃退し，内政も一応整えたが，彼の没後，ハーン位継承争いが頻発してイル･ハーン国は乱れた。マムルーク朝やこれと結ぶキプチャク･ハーン国と対抗するため，ローマ教皇や英･仏国王との軍事同盟を計画して使節を派遣したが，この策はその後の歴代イル･ハーンに継承されるところとなった。【志茂碩敏】
