Church History

Japanese:
Church History
Also known as ecclesiastical history, it is a field of study that grasps and examines the internal and external history of the church founded by Christ from a historical and theological perspective. Interest in church history already began in the New Testament, which emphasizes God's work in history and human experiences of faith and salvation. In the 2nd century, due to the need to protect the church from heresy, the main points of tradition from the apostolic age were written down, and lists of bishops and church chronicles began to be created. Eventually, Eusebius of Caesarea, known as the "father of church history," collected and examined a wide range of historical materials and detailed the 10 volumes of the "History of the Church" up to 325 in connection with the history of the Roman emperors.
