One of the cases reported by S. Freud in Studies on Hysteria (1895). The 18-year-old girl was an innkeeper in the Alps during a summer trip and suffered from nausea and a heavy feeling in the head. From her story, Freud came to the following psychological mechanism behind the onset of hysteria: when she was around 14 or 15 years old, she was sexually seduced by her uncle, but due to her ignorance she did not understand the meaning of it. However, when she turned 16 and witnessed a sexual scene between her cousin and her uncle, she began to understand the meaning of her past sexual experience, and it began to exert its traumatic power.

S.フロイトによって，《ヒステリー研究》(1895)中で報告された症例の一つ。フロイトが夏の旅行中，アルプス山中の宿で会った18歳の少女で，吐きけや頭重感などで苦しんでいた。フロイトは彼女の話から，ヒステリー発症の心理的メカニズムについて次のように考えた。すなわち，彼女は14～15歳ころ叔父に性的誘惑を受けたが，無知からその意味がわからないままでいた。しかし，16歳になって従姉と叔父の性的場面を目撃するに及んで，過去の性的体験のもつ意味が理解され，それとともに心的外傷としての力を発揮するに至った。
