Castable refractories - Castable refractories

A refractory aggregate is mixed with water, tamped or poured, and then hydraulically sets to develop its structural strength. Alumina cement is generally used as the hydraulic material, but phosphoric acid and aluminum phosphate are often used as well.

水と混合し，つき固めあるいは流し込んでから水硬(hydraulic set)によって構造物としての強度を発現する耐火骨材(refractory aggregate)．水硬性物質には一般にアルミナセメントを用いるが，リン酸およびリン酸アルミニウムを用いるものも多い．
