A relatively rare perennial plant of the Brassicaceae family that grows in mountain grasslands (illustration). The stem is erect, 60-120 cm tall, sparsely branched at the top, and hairy. The leaves are alternate, and those at the bottom have petioles and are pinnately lobed, but those at the middle and higher parts of the stem have very short petioles and are not divided, and are ovate to oblong-lanceolate with pointed tips and irregular low serrations at the edges. In June and July, the plant produces sparse inflorescences and produces yellow flowers. The sepals are thin and 7 mm long. There are four petals, each about 1 cm long.
