The Cushitic languages are spoken in Ethiopia and neighboring areas. They belong to the Afro-Asiatic family and form one branch of the family. They are divided into five groups: Beja, Agaw, Eastern Cushitic (Garrah, Somali, etc.), Western Cushitic (Kafa languages), and Southern Cushitic (Mbugu, Mbulunge).
