Dioxazine itself is a purple dye that has been known for a long time, but it was introduced as a pigment in the PB Report after World War II and is well known for the excellent properties of its purple color. It is synthesized by dehydrochlorinating 2 moles of amino- N -ethylcarbazole with chloranil. It has a beautiful purple color, very strong tinting power, and excellent light resistance. ジオキサジン自体は古くから知られた紫色色素であるが，第2次大戦後《PBレポート》によって顔料として紹介され，紫色の優秀な性質で著名である。クロラニルに2molのアミノ‐N‐エチルカルバゾールを脱塩酸縮合させて合成する。美麗な紫色で着色力が非常に大で，耐光性も最高である。有機溶媒に対する溶解性にわずかな問題があり，化学構造上の各種の改良が行われた。(化学式)【新井吉衛】
