Sodium citrate - Sodium citrate

Japanese: クエン酸ナトリウム - クエンさんナトリウム(英語表記)sodium citrate
Sodium citrate - Sodium citrate
It is a colorless or white crystalline powder that is odorless and has a refreshing salty taste, and forms an insoluble salt with calcium. This is used to capture calcium in the blood, which is necessary for blood clotting, and is used as an anticoagulant. It is used as a 3.8% solution for erythrocyte sedimentation (take 0.4 ml, make a total of 2.0 ml of blood) and as a 10% solution for blood transfusions (8-14 ml, make a total of 200 ml of blood). In the case of blood transfusions, it is diluted in the body, so there is no problem. At 1.5-10%, it inhibits blood clotting, but at 30%, it has the opposite effect of clotting.
