A haiku magazine. It was first published in Nara in 1948 (Showa 23). Yamaguchi Seishi, who had left Ashibi due to differences in literary views, was supported by Saito Sanki, Hashimoto Takako, Enomoto Fuichiro, and others to start the magazine as a coterie magazine. The first issue proclaimed the "brutal haiku spirit" and "depressing authority of the haiku world," and the magazine was dedicated to the pursuit of the origins of "grasping life (the origins) with bare hands," which had a major impact on the haiku world after World War II. Other coterie magazine members at the time of its founding included Akimoto Fujio and Hirahata Seito. Later, Ushiro Boseki, Yokoyama Hakuko, Sawaki Kinichi, Sato Kibo, Suzuki Murio, and others were added. With the improvement of the haiku column "Distant Star Collection," the magazine became the magazine under Seiko's supervision. Publication continued thereafter under Seiko's strong initiative, but in 1993, Seiko decided to cease publication due to her own declining physical strength and eyesight. In March of the following year, 1994, Seiko passed away, and in June of the same year, the magazine was discontinued after the publication of the "final issue."
