He is especially known for his epic poem Kirov, With Us (1941), which sings of the battle for Leningrad, which was surrounded by the German-Soviet War during World War II. After the war, he published other collections of poems, such as Georgian Spring (1948-49), At the Second World Peace Congress (1951), and Five Stars on the Green Earth (1961), which was themed on the new China. …
