〘 noun 〙 The act of digging for gold and silver in a mine. Also, the person who digs for them. Miner. Kanahori. ※Konjaku (around 1120) vol. 14 "Suddenly the mouth of the hole collapsed and closed up, and the people who were trying to get into the hole were frightened and rushed out."
