Japanese: 吉舎[町] - きさ

A former town in Futami County in the central-eastern part of Hiroshima Prefecture. It is a hilly mountainous area with lowlands in the Basen and Joge River basins. The main settlement, Kisha, developed as a post station on the road linking Ichiba Town, Onomichi and Miyoshi (currently National Route 184), and the Fukuen Line passes through it. The main industries are agriculture and forestry, with livestock farming, sericulture, and fruit and tobacco cultivation also taking place. In April 2004, Miyoshi City merged with Futami County's Mirasaka Town, Miwa Town, Kimita Village, Nuno Village, and Sakugi Village, and Konno Town in Konno County to form Miyoshi City. 84.07 ^km2 . 5,157 people (2003).

広島県中東部，双三(ふたみ)郡の旧町。丘陵性の山地が広く，馬洗(ばせん)川と上下(じょうげ)川の流域に低地がある。主集落の吉舎は市場町，尾道〜三次間（現在の国道184号線）を結ぶ街道の宿駅として発達，福塩線が通じる。農林業が主で，畜産，養蚕や果樹・タバコ栽培も行われる。2004年４月三次市，双三郡三良坂町，三和町，君田村，布野村，作木村，甲奴郡甲奴町と合併し，三次市となる。84.07km²。5157人（2003）。
