… The oldest criminal code that can be seen today is the Qin law, and in 1975, more than 1,000 bamboo slips were discovered in a Qin tomb at Suihudi in Yunmeng County, Hubei Province. Except for two divination books, most of the documents were political and legal, and several Qin laws were found to have been found (Suihudi Qin Tomb). It is particularly noteworthy that the Wei law was quoted in the political documents, proving that the historical records of Qin, a backward country, frequently welcomed refugees from the neighboring advanced Wei and attempted national reforms were true.
