…In 1913, while he was in Nuremberg, he heard a lecture by R. Steiner and was impressed by the grandiose anthroposophical ideas that the interpretations of the four Gospels should be integrated under the lost "Fifth Gospel." In 1916, he joined the anthroposophical movement. In 1922, he founded the religious organization "Christengemeinschaft" (Christian Community), which aimed to combine Christianity and anthroposophy, and developed a new Christian reform movement as its supreme leader.
