…the Committee on Post-War Currency and Foreign Exchange was established by the British government in January 1918. Its official name was the Committee on Post-War Currency and Foreign Exchange. Its chairman was Sir W. Cunliffe, Governor of the Bank of England. Its first interim report, issued in August of the same year, is an important document in the history of monetary and financial theory.
