Rare element minerals

Japanese: 希元素鉱物 - きげんそこうぶつ

A mineral composed mainly of rare elements. However, since there is no definition of rare elements, this is a rather conventional term. Elements lower on the periodic table are generally less abundant on the earth's surface, but among them, elements that have been used by humans since ancient times are not counted as rare elements. The following minerals are called rare element minerals. The minerals containing rare alkali elements in Group IA on the periodic table, namely lithium, rubidium, and cesium, include lepidolite K(Li,Al) ₃ (Si,Al) ₄ O ₁₀ (F,OH) ₂ and pollucite (Cs,Na) ₂ Al ₂ Si ₄ O ₁₂ ･H ₂ O.

希元素を主成分とする鉱物。ただし希元素の定義がないため，かなり習慣的な用語である。元素の周期表の下の方の元素は地表での存在度が一般に小さいが，それらのうちで，昔から人類が使用してきた元素は希元素には数えない。以下の鉱物などが希元素鉱物と呼ばれている。元素の周期表上でIA族の希アルカリ元素すなわちリチウム，ルビジウム，セシウムの鉱物でリシア雲母lepidolite K(Li,Al)₃(Si,Al)₄O₁₀(F,OH)₂，ポルクス石pollucite (Cs,Na)₂Al₂Si₄O₁₂･H₂O等。
