Kyodo Printing Co., Ltd.
The third largest general printing company in the industry. It began as Hakushinsha, a letterpress printing factory attached to Hakubunkan, established in 1897, and merged with Seibido, a related lithographic printing company, to become Kyodo Printing in 1925. The company comprehensively manages printing, bookbinding, paper containers, and other products, with a focus on commercial printing and periodicals. It is also focusing on diversifying into etching technology and prepaid cards. The head office is in Tokyo, with factories in Tokyo and Odawara. Capital in 2011 was 4.5 billion yen, and sales for the fiscal year ending March 2011 were 98.3 billion yen. Sales breakdown (%) is 50% publishing printing, 30% business media, 19% lifestyle and industrial materials, and 2% other.
