Bridge station - Kyojo station

A type of station with a station building on a bridge-like structure spanning the tracks and the platform. The first such station was Mejiro Station on the Yamanote Line, which opened in 1919 . 〘名〙 線路とプラットホームをまたぐ橋状の構造物の上に駅舎を設けた形式の駅。旧国鉄では大正八年（一九一九）の山手線目白駅が最初。
