Kühne, G.

… The name of the Young Germans seems to come from the dedication of Wienbarch at the beginning of “The Conquest of Aesthetics” (1834): “To Young Germany, not to Old Germany.” Writers belonging to this group are divided into the Right Bank of the Rhine group (Wienbarch, Gutzkow, etc.) and the Berlin group (Laube, Theodor Mundt (1808-61), Gustav Kühne (1806-88), etc.) according to their influence from Saint-Simonism and Hegelian philosophy.
