[Died] 1360, Anhui, Zhishi. One of the warlords of the late Yuan Dynasty. A native of Luotian (Hubei Province). Also known as Zhenyi. Originally a cotton cloth merchant. At the end of the Yuan Dynasty, he rebelled with the evil monk Peng Yingyu and others, taking the name Red Turbans (→ Red Turban Army). In 1351, he captured Qishui (Hubei) and proclaimed himself emperor. He named his country Tianwan and Zhiping as his new emperor. He captured various parts of Hunan, Hubei, and Jiangxi, and was powerful for a time, but was later killed by his subordinate Chen Youliang.

中国，元末の群雄の一人。羅田 (湖北省) の人。別名貞一。もと綿布販売を業とした。元末，妖僧彭瑩玉 (ほうえいぎょく) らと反乱を起し，紅巾をもって号とし (→紅巾軍 ) ，至正 11 (1351) 年き水 (湖北) を陥れて皇帝と称し，国号を天完，治平と建元し，湖南，湖北，江西の各地を陥れ，一時勢い大いにふるったが，のち部将の陳友諒に殺された。
