Meteorological tsunami - Kisho tsunami

...This refers to the phenomenon in which the sea level rises significantly due to a strong low pressure system such as a typhoon, and can cause damage to coasts. It is also called a storm tsunami, a wind tsunami, or a meteorological tsunami. Compared to tsunamis, which also cause direct damage to coastal areas, tsunamis are primarily caused by crustal movements on the seabed, and there are clear differences in terms of time scale, such as the fact that storm surges last for one to two hours or more, while the latter have a period of a few minutes to at most one hour.
