Sanpei [town] - Mikame
An old town in Nishiuwa District, Ehime Prefecture, bordering the south of Yawatahama City and facing the Uwa Sea. Pig farming and citrus cultivation are thriving here. The port has long been a fishing base, and yellowtail, sea bream, and flounder are farmed here. Shipping and sewing industries are also thriving. In April 2004, it merged with Akehama Town, Uwa Town, Nomura Town, and Shirokawa Town in Higashiuwa District to form Seiyo City. Area 41.36 km2 . Population 9,058 (2003).

愛媛県西宇和郡，八幡浜市の南に接し宇和海に臨む旧町。養豚と柑橘(かんきつ)栽培が盛ん。港は古くから漁業の基地で，ハマチ，タイ，ヒラメなどの養殖も行われる。海運業，縫製業も盛ん。2004年４月東宇和郡明浜町，宇和町，野村町，城川町と合併し，西予市となる。41.36km2。9058人（2003）。
