Raw Silk Cocoon Exhibition

...In 1978, we exhibited at the Paris World's Fair and sent officials to the exhibition, giving us the opportunity to see and experience a product competition in France. As a result, the following year, 1979, the Ministry of the Interior and the Ministry of Finance hosted the Tea Exhibition (September-October) and the Raw Silk and Cocoon Exhibition (November) in Yokohama, and the following year, 1980, the Cotton and Sugar Exhibition (February-April) in Osaka. Tea, raw silk and cocoons were the two major export products, while cotton and sugar were the two major import products.
