Sakado Maki - Sakado Maki

Japanese: 坂門牧 - さかどのまき

A pasture in Furuichi County, Kawachi Province (present-day Habikino City, Osaka Prefecture). It is also written as Sakado Maki. It was the base of Kebiishi Minamoto Yasusue, a member of the Montoku Genji clan and a northern valiant warrior of Emperor Shirakawa, and this clan was known as the Sakado Genji. It is believed that the clan began to own the pasture at the latest in the late 11th century, around the time of Yasusue's great-grandfather Kawachi no Kami Kinnori. The main family (high-ranking lord) was the Sekkanke family. In 1153 (Nihei 3), when Minister of the Left Fujiwara no Yorinaga made a pilgrimage to Kasuga Shrine, they were assigned the burden of 100 bundles of grass. According to a 1253 (Kencho 5) inventory of the Konoe family estate, the Konoe family themselves held the actual powers (manorial authority) to govern the estate, and the steward at that time was a man named Noritada.

河内国古市郡(現，大阪府羽曳野市)の牧。坂戸牧とも書く。文徳源氏で白河院の北面の武士であった検非違使源康季の本拠で，この一族は坂戸源氏と称された。同氏が牧を領有しはじめたのは，遅くとも11世紀の末，康季の曾祖父河内守公則のころと考えられる。本家(上級領主)は摂関家。1153年(仁平3)左大臣藤原頼長の春日社参詣にあたり，蒭（まぐさ）100把の負担を割りあてられた。1253年(建長5)の近衛家所領目録によれば，近衛家自身が所領支配の実際的な諸権限(荘務権)を握っており，このときの預所は範忠なる人物であった。
