Berastagi (English spelling)
A town in the north of Sumatra, Indonesia. It is located on the Karo Plateau, about 70 km south of Medan. It has been known as a summer resort since the Dutch colonial period, and its colonial-style townscape remains. Many Karobatak people live there. It is a tourist base for Mount Sibayak, where there are hot springs, and Lake Toba.
