One of the Eight Banners (military system) of the Qing Dynasty, which was made up of Han people. Nurhaci, the founder of the Qing Dynasty, established the Eight Manchu Banners, but as they moved south, under Taizong Hong Taiji, the Eight Mongolian Banners and the Eight Han Military Banners were newly established.
