Year of death: November 26, 1845 (December 24, 1845) Year of birth: Around An'ei (1772-1781) A master of the Kiyomoto shamisen in the late Edo period. He composed the famous piece "Hokushu" (1818) with lyrics by Ota Shosanjin. She was originally a geisha in Edo Yoshiwara, and ran a restaurant called Kawaguchi in Ryogoku.
