Japanese: 仮換地 - かりかんち

In land readjustment projects carried out to improve the development of public facilities and promote the use of residential land, temporary replacement land is allocated to landowners before the land exchange is carried out. Land readjustment projects are carried out over a wide area of land, and they often take a very long time, making it impossible to complete relocation work or reorganize land numbers simultaneously for the entire area. This system designates land (temporary replacement land) that can be temporarily used or profited from in place of the residential land before the project begins, when necessary to relocate buildings or construct public facilities.
Please note that the term "provisional land exchange" refers to land to be exchanged, and does not mean a temporary exchange.

公共施設の整備改善や宅地の利用増進を図るために行なう土地区画整理事業において、換地処分の前に、地権者用に割り当てられる仮の換地を「仮換地」といいます。土地区画整理事業は、広範囲の土地の区域にわたって行なわれる事業であり、また、こうした事業は非常に長期間を要することが多く、施行全区域について同時に移転工事等を完了することや地番整理を行なうことが不可能であるため、「仮換地」という制度があります。この制度は、建物の移転や公共施設の工事を行なうために必要な場合に、事業開始以前の宅地に換えて仮に使用または収益することのできる土地(仮換地)を指定するものです。
なお、仮換地とは、換地予定地にあたり、一時的な仮の換地を意味するものではありません。
