...This tendency led him to approach the Nazis, and after 1933 he came to be regarded by both himself and others as one of the leading writers of Nazi literature. However, it should be noted that his masterpieces, the play Giordano Bruno (1903), the novel The Love of God (1908), the Paracelsus trilogy (1917-26), and the philosophical work The Architectural Shed (1925), were all written before the Nazi era. The Love of God and Mont Salvasch (1912) were translated into Japanese, and the former was especially popular in Japan during World War II.
