God role - Kamiyaku
〘Noun〙① A person who is possessed by a divine spirit and whose role is to convey the divine will to people. Yorimashi . ② A priest who officiates at Shinto rituals. A person who takes turns taking care of the festivals. Touya . A one-year priest. ※Ukiyo-zoshi, Danshoku-Daikan (1687), 4 "There is a tall paper house at the west gate of this shrine. One of the sons of Onakai Hyobutayu is called Okura ."

Shin-yaku [God role]

〘 noun 〙 (also "jinyaku") A position at a shrine, or a person who is appointed to that position. A priest. A Shinto priest. ※Chikamoto Diary - August 20, 1465 (Kansho 6) "In this way, the Shinto priest and others are neglecting their duties, and the head of the shrine is lamented."
