Kamiya family

...His childhood name was Zenshiro, and his pen name was Sadakiyo. The Kamiya family had been the leading wealthy merchants in Hakata for generations since the mid-Muromachi period, and the second head of the family, Kazukei, served as captain of a ship sent to Ming China in 1539 (Tenbun 8), and was often involved in trade with other family members on ships sent to Ming China. In addition, the Kamiya family had long sought copper from the Sagi Copper Mine in Izumo for trade purposes, but the third head, Jusada, imported silver smelting technology using lead as a medium, and in 1533, with the cooperation of other Hakata silversmiths, they succeeded in managing the Iwami Silver Mine (Ginzan Kyuki).
