〘 noun 〙 A type of joint in wood. The upper part of the small end of one piece of wood is pushed out in a sickle-shaped shape and fitted into the other piece to join them. It is mainly used for horizontal pieces that are subject to tension. Kamatsugite (sickle joint) .
