Born: November 25, 1900, Tokyo [Died] January 13, 1986. The third director of the Tokyo Kodokan. The second son of Jigoro Kano. Graduated from Kokugakuin University. In 1946, he became director after the second director, Jiro Nango. In 1949, he founded the All Japan Judo Federation and became its first president. When the International Judo Federation was formed in 1952, he became its first president, and in 1965, when he retired, he was recommended as honorary president. He played a major role in the reconstruction and internationalization of judo after World War II. His main work is "Growing Judo."
