Also called a kanabakari (plan view). A detailed cross-sectional view of a typical exterior wall, including the eaves, cut in the direction of the beams to show the standard height of each part of a building. In other words, it is a cross-sectional view that shows the height relationships such as the ground position, floor height, eaves height, window height, waist height, and ceiling height, which form the basis of the overall dimensions of the building cross section. In Japan, it is customary to use a plan view to determine the dimensions required for processing structural materials, and in the case of simple buildings such as wooden houses, buildings are sometimes produced using a plan view and plan view as typical drawings for architectural design.

矩計 (かなばかり) 図ともいう。建築物の各部分の標準的な高さを示すために，軒先を含む代表的な外壁部分を梁間方向に切断した断面詳細図。すなわち，建築物断面の全体寸法の基本をなす地盤の位置，床高，軒高，窓高，腰高，天井高など高さ関係を示す断面図のことである。日本の木造建築物の場合，構造材などを加工するのに必要な寸法を矩計で決定するのが慣習となっており，木造住宅などの簡易な建物の場合は，実用的には建築設計の代表的な図面として平面図と矩計図で建物が製作されることがある。
