Walking - Running

...A lower-ranking position that accompanied the shogun on foot when he went out on a journey, and performed guard duties and various other tasks. Also called kachishu or kachihashiri, it is said to have originated from the foot soldiers of the Edo Shogunate. In the processions of the Kamakura Shogun when he went to Kyoto or went out on a journey, "kachishu" or "kachihashiri" were often seen, suggesting the presence of guard soldiers who accompanied the shogun on foot during the Kamakura period, but in the Muromachi period, it was established as a Shogunate office and its duties were also established.
