The name of a representative Edo story-telling store. It was located in Odenmacho 3-chome. From the Manji to Genroku eras (around 1660 to 1690), the store was commonly known as Sanzaemon, and later as Magobei. It went out of business around 1780 (An'ei 9). It was known as a Joruri book store and published many old Joruri works. It also published Akahon (red books) such as "Hanasaki Jiji," "Momotaro," and "Shitakiri Suzume," as well as Kana Zoushi and Yoshiwara Saimin. Hishikawa Moronobu's "Takabyobu Kuda Monogatari" was also published here. Jihon Wholesaler [Munemasa Isoo]
