Virtual Machine

...A system that consists of a high-speed main memory with limited capacity and a low-speed auxiliary memory with large capacity, and that virtualizes the memory so that it appears to be composed only of a high-speed main memory with almost no capacity limit, is called virtual memory. A computer system that is virtualized as a whole is called a virtual machine or virtual computer. Many modern computers are systems that can be used simultaneously by multiple users with different purposes.
