Wind direction - Fūkou (English spelling)

Japanese: 風向 - ふうこう（英語表記）wind direction

The direction from which the wind blows. If the wind blows from north to south, the wind direction is north, and the wind is called a north wind. Wind direction is observed in degrees clockwise from true north, and is indicated in 16 or 36 directions. Wind direction changes from moment to moment, but general meteorological observations do not focus on small changes, but instead indicate the general direction from which the wind is blowing as a 10-minute average. When the wind speed is 0.2 m/s or less, the wind direction is considered calm and is represented as 00.
