…Until the 1880s, women's belongings mainly consisted of tobacco cases, tissue bags, wallets, etc., but when men began to use waistcoats and satchels, pouches were invented for women to carry, and they reached the height of popularity in the 1890s. Among these pouches, those with a basket bottom were called Kago Shingen, and those with a drawstring-style neck were called Chiyoda bags.
