Kakumagawa River

It is a district of Daisen City in central Akita Prefecture. The former Kakumagawa Town was incorporated into Omagari City in 1955 (Showa 30), and Omagari City became Daisen City in 2005 (Heisei 17). It is located at the confluence of the Omono River and the Asahi River (Yokote River), and prospered through shipping until the opening of the Ou Line in 1905 (Meiji 38). It connected to Tsuchizaki at the mouth of the Omono River, and rice and other products from the Senboku Plain were transported there, and salt, sugar, and seafood from Tsuchizaki were unloaded. It is home to Kakumagawa Onsen.

秋田県中央部、大仙市(だいせんし)の一地区。旧角間川町は1955年（昭和30）に大曲(おおまがり)市に編入され、大曲市は2005年（平成17）に大仙市となった。雄物(おもの)川と旭(あさひ)川（横手川）の合流点にあり、1905年（明治38）の奥羽線開通までは舟運で栄えた。雄物川河口の土崎(つちざき)と結び、仙北平野の米などを搬出し、土崎からの塩、砂糖、海産物を陸揚げした。角間川温泉がある。
